Azyn ® Azithromycin, an azalide, a subclass of macrolide antibiotics, for oral administration. it inhibits protein synthesis,by impair the elongation cycle of the peptidyl chain by specifically binding to the 50 S subunit of the ribosome.

Azyn ® Azithromycin is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic with a long half-life and a high degree of tissue
penetration.
Azyn ® Azithromycin covered Gram positive aerobes: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, S. pyogenes
and Mycobacterium spp. Gram negative aerobes: H. influenzae, M. catarrhalis, Neisseria sp. and Bordetella pertussis.
Atypical Bacteria –excellent activity against atypical bacteria including: Chlamydia sp., Mycoplasma sp. and
Legionella pneumophila. Anaerobes: Bacillus cereus, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Gardnerella vaginalis, Pasteurella
multocida,…..
Azyn® Macrolides produce time-dependent killing: Macrolides stop bacterial growth by inhibiting protein synthesis
and translation, treating bacterial infections.
Azithromycin has additional immunomodulatory effects and has been used in chronic respiratory inflammatory diseases for this purpose.

Resincalcio®

Resincalcio® is powder for oral suspension. Treatment and prevention of hyperkalemia (hiperpotassemia) whose action takes place primarily in the colon

Azyn is indicated in mild to moderate infections:

  1. Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, Acute bacterial sinusitis
  2. Community acquired pneumonia.
  3. Acute Otitis Media
  4. Pharyngitis and tonsillitis.
  5. Uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections.
  6. Urethritis and cervicitis.
  7. Genital Ulcer disease (Chancroid)
  8. Pelvic inflammatory infection.

Contraindication and side effects:

Hypersensitivity: is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to azithromycin, erythromycin, any macrolide or ketolide drugs.
Hepatic Dysfunction: is contraindicated in patients with a history of cholestatic jaundice/hepatic dysfunction associated with prior use of azithromycin.

Minor side effects: Diarrhea or loose stools, Nausea, Abdominal pain, Stomach upset, Vomiting, Constipation. Dizziness, Tiredness, Headache. Vaginal itching or discharge, Nervousness, Sleep problems (insomnia), Skin rash or itching, Ringing in the ears, Hearing problems, Or decreased sense of taste or smell.
Special precaution: QT Prolongation, Clostridium Difficile-Associated Diarrhea, Exacerbation of Myasthenia Gravis, Pregnancy: Category B, Nursing Mothers.

Respiratory tract infection: 500mg once daily for three days.
Genital ulcer diseases, urethritis and cervicitis: 1000 mg PO x 1 dose
Uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections: 500mg once daily for three days.
